Temple of Confucious

The Temple of Confucious

The temple of Confucius is a temple dedicated to the teachings and life of Chinese scholar Confucius. It was established in 479 BC one year after Confucius died and was built to be used as an establishment to worship and sacrifice things in honor of Confucius. Unlike a Daoist temples Confucius temples do not usually have images. This temple differs from most of them with wall paintings and statues of Confucius and his disciples placed around the temple to honor them, it is now more common to have statues in a modern Confucius temple.
